Today (22 March 2025), the Central Investigation Bureau led by Pol. Lt. Col. Kasidet Charoenlap, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation Division 1, Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Suppression Division, officers from the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, Wildlife Crime Intelligence Center, and the Wildlife and Plant Conservation Division under the Convention, jointly arrested Mr. Banphot on charges of "possession of protected wildlife without permission" in his residence in the Nong Chok area of Bangkok.
